Pissed Off!
Hey everyone, I know I should just stick to the bands but today I got so annoyed. I study Medicine in Poland and live in Scotland so I was just checking out the concerts for February when I am back home for a short time. I knew about the "Priest Feast" gig and I was dying to go. Headlining were Judas Priest, supported by the amazing Megadeth and Testament!!!! (I don't know why they were supporting and not headliners themselves!). Anyway, I have seen Judas Priest live before and they put on a great show but they aren't my favourite band. Megadeth I have seen about 4 times I think but they never get old, I love them! and I have never seen Testament before so I really wanted to go so badly! I mean Testament are absolutely immense, my top bands of all time for sure!......so here's the problem! school in Poland starts again on the 16th so I have to come back on the 16th and miss the fucking show!!!! (which just happens to hit Glasgow on the 16th!). I love what I am doing but seriously I have had to give up some amazing gigs and it's damaging me inside (other bands I have had to miss include Down and Metallica.....shoot me now!) Anyway, sorry about the depressing rant. A new band will feature soon, I am thinking a "short" article on Metallica. If anyone has any requests please let me know and I will try and a feature a band of your choice! peace x

A Hiccup In Paradise
Today's band on my mind are the legends, Glassjaw! They have been aroud since about 1993 and working hard to make intense, real music. Lead vocalist Daryl Palumbo has a beautiful melodic voice that can turn into something that sounds like the spawn of satan. His vocal range is unreal at times and the best part is that he is a brilliant lyricist writing about pure emotion. Glassjaw still exist to this day although Palumbo has taken a new project "Head Automatica" who are good but nothing compared to Glassjaw. I have never had the chance to see them live either, since I got into them late and when I did, I found out that Palumbo suffers from Crohn's Disease (which is usually problems with the gastrointestinal tract from mouth to anus). Anyway, you have to check them out. I have heard and seen parts of their live shows from videos and well they are amazing it seems. This band will live as legend and I will support them always. If you're not doing anything other than eating and jacking off......get your ass onto this link and hear this sweet band. peace! x
Stuck Pig (Song about dope addiction) - Glassjaw (This band cannot be judged on one song, listen to all their stuff and you will be blown away. Favourites are "pretty lush", "when one eight becomes two zeros", "siberian kiss", "radio cambodia", "babe", "tip your bartender" "cosmopolitan blood loss" and "ape dos mil". Actually......everything by them is immense :D)

Acting Like A Maniac!
So why did I call my blog whiplashmusic? If you don't know then you are not a fan of my favourite band, the legendary Metallica. Sure they have had their ups and downs and I admit myself some of their songs have been horrendous but I have never given up on them. I decided to name the blog after my favourite band and well whiplash is a song that shows an alcohol fuelled Metallica (Alcoholica!) and they were young, charged and full of aggression. This song defines headbanging and will show you what started this band's fame!
Whiplash Live
P.S. Here is some cool footgage of whiplash by Panterica! (Dimebag vocals, Phil Anselmo guitar haha)
Why?
Hey everyone, my name's Bubu and I decided to start writing a blog about Music. I listen to a wide variety of music but when it comes down to it, I pretty much live off of metal and hard rock like it was oxygen. I owe my love of this genre of music to my "non-blood brother" Donn. He showed me what true music is and what great music is from a young age. I am 19 now, coming on 20 soon and have been listening to metal for about 8 years now. I have a huge taste and so I think this blog will be all about writing about different bands, songs, and feelings for the music I have over time. I have to admit that it is possible that a band that isn't metal could be mentioned in the future just because of the mood I am in but it is most likely to be all out metal heaven (most other likely genres to appear will include hardcore, screamo, metalcore, mathcore, death metal, swedish metal, thrash, punk, hard rock etc. I am not a big fan of putting things into all the crazy genres out there these days so you'll see what comes up). Hope you enjoy reading and keeping up to date on what I think is good. Peace for now! x
